First of all, if you haven't taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon 'RIDE827' to get $10 off your first ride!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the Payments tab in the app and enter the coupon there. Might as well try it out since it probably won't cost you a thing!!
The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver's face, phone number, and car make and model. It's amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button!!! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!! Lyft is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don't see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. Even if you want to get a black car on the occasional night out, it's still cheaper and more convenient than hiring your own private driver.
The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn't have to say anything more than a short comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I'm very happy and I hope Lyft continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service! I also prefer Lyft much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!!

Lyft never responded to a serious safety issue reported to the critical response line. The vehicle make, license plate, and photo of the driver who accepted my ride did not match the vehicle, license plate or person who arrived. The driver was outside the car blocking traffic, hollering my name and acting foolish. Apparently, it was my fault for not looking for a different vehicle, license plate, & person which did not match what was provided by Lyft. I asked why he did not match the photo and why his car/plates were different. Then I noticed he had another person in the front seat, which was concerning for a female bc I ordered a regular ride, not a shared ride or Lyft line. A police officer saw/heard all this - he told the driver get in the car & told me NOT to get in the guy's car. The car sped off & I was charged a cancellation or no show fee. I sent Lyft photos of the license plate/vehicle which did not match the screen shot of the info displayed in the app. I was not provided a response or explanation. Did this person find/steal a legit Lyft driver's phone then fire up the app for fun or worse? Did a Lyft driver let someone else to use their app/driver credentials to pick up riders? Who knows. Definitely scary.
The cancellation fee was eventually credited to my account.

Usually ride with Uber but after receiving the customer service I received from this gentleman that picked me up I will now be going through Lyft. He not only asked if I had the AC on me which in Texas it’s incredibly humid and hot so that important he also offered me a bottle of water from his ice chest so it was cool. He asked if there was a radio station I preferred instead of listen to the radio though we had great conversation he was a very safe driver and got me to myDestinations in a timely manner. If there is a way I could rate him higher I definitely would and if there is a way I can choose him as a driver again I would like to do that. I think left obviously those do a thorough check to pick their drivers and make sure they have customer service and like Uber. Are usually get weird vibes from the ride take it from Uber and feel like the drivers that are male hit on me and our inappropriate in the language they use this male. Was a gentleman and I was able to open up to a conversation about my husband and he was able to open up to a conversation about his wife I felt real comfortable because I am usually weary about male drivers but I felt completely safe driving with this driver very sweet guy.
